How to repair and maintain dry powder fire extinguishers and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers?

All kinds of fire extinguishing equipment and fire fighting facilities should be regularly maintained by dedicated personnel maintenance, to use continuous testing, debugging, maintenance, upgrading, etc., at all times to ensure that fire fighting facilities, fire fighting equipment function properly, intact and effective. Among them, the maintenance requirements for dry powder fire extinguishers and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are as follows.

Dry powder fire extinguishers should be placed in a ventilated, dry and cool place, avoid sun exposure and strong radiation heat, storage environment temperature is usually appropriate between -20 ~ 55 ℃, prevent dry powder caking, decomposition, every six months should be checked for air leakage or not, such as leakage has occurred, it should be sent to the maintenance department repair. Fire extinguishers must be refilled once opened, refilling shall not change the type of dry powder extinguishing agent. For example, sodium bicarbonate (BC) dry powder fire extinguishers can not change ABC dry powder extinguishing agent; and vice versa. After each use or expiration of 5 years, every two years thereafter should be sent to the maintenance department for hydraulic testing and other checks.

Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers should be stored in a cool, dry, ventilated place, not close to the source of fire, avoid strong radiation heat, prohibit sun exposure, storage environment temperature is usually appropriate between -10 ~ 55 ℃. When handling, be light, do not collide, pay attention to protect the valve and spray barrel. Every six months, the quality should be checked by the weighing method to check for leaks. After each use or after the period of 5 years, every two years thereafter should be sent to the maintenance department for hydraulic testing and other checks.
